The Alfa Laval GJ A product line offers tank cleaning devices that deliver powerful, efficient, hygienic cleaning for companies within the food, beverage and personal care industries. They are ideal for retrofit applications to replace resource-heavy static spray balls and costly manual cleaning. Features of the GJ A includes self-cleaning and self-draining capabilities and the ability to clean tanks through openings as small as a 5cm (2”).

The Alfa Laval GJ A product line is orbital cleaner designed for removal of residues from hygienic tanks across broad range of industries, such as dairy, brewery, food and personal care. Due to the slim design, the GJ equipment is ideal to retrofit spray balls, thereby reducing Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) cost and cleaning time.
How does the GJ A work
High-impact, low-resource cleaning
The high-impact jet stream from the rotary jet head is preprogrammed to cover the inside of the tank in a continually denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water, acid or caustic. Most of the Alfa Laval GJ A tank cleaning device is capable of operating at both high and low pressures.
Energy-efficient design
A faster tank cleaning cycle also cuts energy consumption. Cleaning fluid flows through the nozzles in an automated, geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, the nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank surface, with subsequent cycles progressively densifying the pattern over the course of eight cycles.
